The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
